Arcana: Priestess
Information: Myrrha, favored Priestess of Venus, and the beautiful daughter of King Cinyras, fell in love with her father. During the Ceres Festival, the worshiping women [including Cenchreis, Myrrha's mother] were not to be touched by men for nine nights; wherefore a nurse told Cinyras of a girl deeply in love with him, giving a false name. The affair lasted several nights in complete darkness to conceal Myrrha's identity, until Cinyras wanted to know the identity of his paramour. Upon bringing in a lamp, and seeing his daughter, Cinyras draws his sword and pursues Myrrha, but Myrrha escaped. She flees across Arabia and, after nine months, turns to the gods for help. Afraid of death and tired of life, she begged the gods for a solution. They take pity on her and transform her into a myrrh tree, with the sap thereof representing her tears.
Symbolization:  
♔ Myrrha- Daughter of Desire: Like Myrrha, Kiki was born with beauty could rival even that of the gods. She spends her life in the lap of luxury, receiving anything she could ever want, being able to do as she wished whenever she wished, yet this is still not enough. A deep hole is resides within, one which has yet to be filled. Kiki is a slave to her own desires as Myrrha once was.
♔ Skin of Bark: Due to the lack of parental guidance and social interactions, Kiki has a hard time letting people in, causing her to create a barrier to others. Though like the Myrrh tree, when one gets past the bark, something sweet emerges. 
♔ Crown of Branches: Crowns are the symbol of royalty. Myrrha herself was the daughter of a powerful king. She was able to get all but what she truly desired. Likewise, Kiki belongs to an upper-class family with the ability to buy anything, even others’ friendship and loyalty. Her father is able to buy Kiki the world, surrounding her with riches and material possessions, showing love through money rather than interaction.
♔ Closed Eyes: As Myrrha shielded her eyes from the taboo of her desire, Kiki closes her eyes to the world. If she cannot see it, it must not be happening and therefore, nothing is wrong.
♔ Sealed Mouth: Kiki is afraid to speak out against others as she’s quite reticent and very uneasy around people. She never shows her true feelings, keeping quiet and putting on a false airs. Like Myrrha, she’d rather suffer silently.
♔: Rooted Legs: Roots are the life support of trees, representing a need for sustenance and nurturing. They may also represent a desire for protection, or a need for stability. When Myrrha committed the great sin of her desire, she was chased from her home. As she wandered the desert, homeless, broken, and needy, she begged the gods for protection. They granted her wish, giving her the form of a tree. Her life ended, finally rooted down and stable. Kiki surrounds herself with beautiful clothing, trying to fill her need for sustenance with material goods, giving a false sense of stability and happiness.
